What this? Another Gypsy post? No, it’s not a duplicate….Gypsy Alexandria have now started offering dinner. Wednesday to Saturday evenings. As the title of this post suggests, it’s Italian food…..my favourite 🙂
My partner and I had reason to celebrate recently, so when I saw the below menu, I just couldn’t resist.
Important to note: the portion sizes are VERY generous. So if you’re not really into starving yourself prior to eating here, I would suggest making multiple bookings instead and trying a little bit each time. It’s all delicious.
We tried the warm focaccia with truffle butter first. All I can say is wow! to the truffle butter.
The was followed up by the Pork cutlet, parmesan & thyme crumb, burnt butter and lemon (for myself) and the Roast 400g rib eye with gremolata butter (for my partner).
We also had sides of fries with shaved parmesan and truffle and roast beef fat potatoes.
It was at this point that we realised our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and had to bow out gracefully.
But I will certainly be coming back to try the pasta and desserts another time.
The staff at Gypsy Italian have the same warmth and friendliness that you can expect from the breakfast crew, but with fine dining experience.
They want the dinner to be an experience. The wine selection is fantastic and only getting better by the day and the owner is on hand to make sure everyone has a great time. He even stops by the tables for a good chat and a drink. 🙂
They have only just started, but I highly recommend it.
